Christmas Fair 2017
It was wonderful to see so many of you and your families at the Christmas Fair on Saturday despite the rain and we hope you all had a lovely time.
With your help we raised an impressive £2761.47 for our school.
A huge thanks to you all for donating so many wonderful things, baking wonderful cakes and for coming along on the day. We really appreciate it and look forward to seeing the funds raised put to good use in the school.

Sports Day Cafe
Parents and children were able to relax in the sunshine after the excitement of Sports Day and enjoy a selection of delicious home made cakes which were provided by parents. Thank you so much for all the donations of beautiful cakes, we are delighted to announce that we raised an AMAZING £264 for the Friends.
The Friends are pleased to announce that we are throwing a Summer Party for parents, to celebrate the end of the school year. We'd like to get everyone together for a relaxed evening with a bar, cocktails and burritos. There will be music too. The party will be held on Friday 14th July at Easton Village Hall.
The tickets are £12.50 each and are available from the School Office from Monday 5th June, when we come back to school after half term.
Just some of the amazing events that the Friends organise during the year:
- Monthly cafes and coffee mornings
- Christmas Fair
- Quiz and supper evening
- Secret present buying and wrapping for Christmas and Mothers Day
- Commemorative mugs for Jubilee and Queen's birthday
- School disco
- Sports day afternoon tea
- Family photograph sessions
Thanks to all who attended the Friends latest meeting and the ideas that were discussed.
The March Coffee Morning was enjoyed by those parents that could make it, unfortunately it clashed with a school trip and other events but we were pleased to meet, chat over breakfast and make £25 - every little helps!
The Top Secret Mother's Day Present Wrapping Mission was a great success with over 50 presents being wrapped and over £140 profit made - shhhh don't tell the mums.....
We are delighted to announce we made an amazing £962 profit from the Quiz and Supper evening. Many thanks to all those who helped organise it and to all those of you who attended - I think you will agree it was a fantastic evening and we look forward to the next one.
We had another fantastic turn out at our Christmas Fair this year. Lots of fabulously festive stalls awaited visitors, offering an abundance of festive goodies and gifts. Refreshments were also on hand in the café where we sold a record number of 76 mince pies!
Santa was kind enough to visit again this year and lots of our children got the chance to meet him in his grotto and receive a gift.
The raffle included many fantastic prizes, generously donated by local businesses. The home produce stall offered everything from homemade jams to freshly squeezed apple juice using home grown apples from the Itchen Valley.
Otters class teacher, Mr. Bogan, kindly (perhaps foolishly!) offered to be subjected to having ‘snowballs’ thrown at him for the duration of the fair. This proved immediately popular with a large queue forming from the start and one child paying more than £10 to knock off his antlers and his bright red nose!
Lots of people have told us how much they enjoy the fair each year. We all enjoy organising this popular event and it couldn’t happen without the help and generosity of our parents, our teachers and the local community who support us by donating gifts and their time. This year we made a staggering £3,236 for the school. This is an incredible amount that will benefit our children tremendously. A big thank you to all and Merry Christmas!
